How are you doing? Hope your weekend went well. I actually wrote this post since friday but it refused to post. Please, enjoy.
Ehen! I entered a bus at CMS under bridge to Orile. As I entered the bus, I saw two guys arguing. I recognized one of the guys as a regular beggar in our Oshodi garage so I just chilled to listen to what he was going to beg about this time because he begs that he is sick and hungry in the other garage. Next thing I heard was, “why is it that it is when I wanted to talk that you remembered that you had things to sell?”. The other guy now said, “Why won’t I talk when I want?”. As they were arguing, the second guy started selling the wares. Next thing the beggar guy pushed him and the seller almost fell down in the bus.
Beggar: “you are always doing this thing, this is not the first time”.
Seller: “Is it because I used to give you chance to preach? Is it not beg you want to beg? Me, I want to sell God’s word”
Beggar: “You give me chance ke? Is it your bus? Or is it your park that you are giving me chance? Don’t ever try this nonsense again o”.
Seller: “In fact, from now on, if you see me in a bus, don’t enter”
Beggar: snaps fingers “you will see”
Seller: “You cannot do anything” turns to us “Yes, I have books for you that will change your live……”
Beggar: “You are preaching about God and see how you are!” walks away
Seller: “Am I not better than you that is begging? You wretched person. Thief”
Beggar: walks back “did you just call me a thief? Me, thief? Come down and let us settle this issue”
Seller: with fear in his voice “you cannot do anything. Is it not you that started it?”
Beggar: “come down na, did I call you a thief? In fact, you will not sell anything in this bus today”
Seller: “I will sell! You are not God, I will sell”
The Beggar walks away after people begged him but you could see that he was angry. Some people in the bus told the seller that he was wrong actually because he sat down idle until the beggar came in and he jumped up to sell. He was just there ranting that he will beat him if he tries anything. The entire bus burst into laughter. We advised him to help himself and not fight because the other guy will kill him. While all this was going on, one guy just said, “Wait o, shebi that beggar said he is sick and hungry. How did he get the strength to fight?” We all started laughing again. The seller talked and talked and nobody answered him. He kept looking from side to side for the beggar and after a while he just ran out of the bus to hide behind a slab. The guy decided to give himself brain after making mouth.
The funniest part of the whole issue is that I have fallen for the sick/hungry beggar’s zobo in our Oshodi park because he would always walk slowly like he is about to die but yesterday he was jumping as he was angry! Chaye They have caught me mugu!!!
That’s all folks…. here’s wishing you a splendid week ahead.
Loads of love from me…. mwah!!!
